Insurance companies are interested in all sorts of data that can be collected and exposed for further analysis. Specifically, they need data on how vehicles are being used.
Built-in sensor detects above-threshold acceleration and the in-between period shows how long the vehicle was in motion. Data is transferred wirelessly with the use of Bluetooth Low Energy technology.
